# History and search

Two core ways to navigate and analyze your reconnaissance data across all projects and scopes.

## History

![History](https://1075470145-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FV2n4UTcrS4SHhY2NTi0v%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-56e9f73119970704034761b29a569416da86dd1a%2Fhistory.png?alt=media)

* **Paginated list** of scan history (jobs): every scan run, scheduled task execution, or queued job that has been recorded.
* **Filters:** Filter by status (e.g. completed, failed, running), by type (e.g. port scan, HTTP scan), and by domain (search).
* Each row links to the related **scope** so you can open the scope detail page and view results.

History helps you audit what was run, when, and on which target, and quickly reopen a scope.

## Search

![Search](https://1075470145-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FV2n4UTcrS4SHhY2NTi0v%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-06924440dbb80af02b7f53dd1fef8d645a202604%2Fsearch.png?alt=media)

* **Search across all scope domains in seconds** - Global search across all your scopes: by subdomain, IP, port, technology, status code, URL, and more.
* **Search type:** e.g. All, Domain, IP, Port, Tech, Status, URLs.
* **Advanced filters:** Has IP, has open ports, has HTTP, has tech, has title, has server; status code range; technology filter; min/max ports.
* **Statistics:** Totals (scopes, subdomains, with IP, with ports, with HTTP, with tech), status code distribution, top technologies, top servers (when available).
* **Results:** List of matching subdomains with scope, project, IP, status, title, server, tech, ports, URLs; link to the scope.

Search is available on all plans and is useful to find specific hosts, technologies, or response codes across your entire dataset.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://bugrecon.gitbook.io/docs/features-list/history-and-search.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
